Advanced pipe punches PTM are designed for punching holes with a diameter of 8…25 mm in the tubing walls and casings 60…168 mm of domestic and foreign production, located in the well, in order to communicate their cavity with the annulus. The resulting hole allows restoring circulation in the practice of workover and well development, prevent lifting of pipes with fluid, fill up top cement behind casing, increase productivity, industrial standards, and labor safety during well workover, and reduce environmental pollution.
Application – Well workover operations.
Punchers can be produced in several designs:
- K – wire type
- KC - wire-drop type
- Y – universal allowing punching pipes of several sizes
- G – for operations in gaseous medium
- VD – for operations at depths 3000-6000m
Puncher running is carried out on a wire, a cable, coiled tubing, by free dropping.
As a source of energy for punching pipes hydrostatic pressure potential energy in tubing, formation energy or pumping unit pressure is used.
