“Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz” finished field trials of new drilling mud produced MULTIBUR produced by “BURINTEKH”, Ltd. On the 8th of July average daily production rate of pilot wells are 70 tons of oil each, and this 3 times exceed planned rates.

The use of new mud with increased inhibiting and lubricating ability allows improve quality and increase rate of penetration and gives ability to drill auxiliary or horizontal wellbores without changing mud as distinct from using other receipts. During trials ecological safety of mud was confirmed.

2013 year was officially declared as Environment Protection Year in Russia that is why ecological compatibility is one of the most important components of MULTIBUR. The use of this gel – emulsive mud does not require additional drilling waste reclamation measures:

“Multibur” – drilling mud with increased inhibiting and lubricating ability and wide density range. This is absolutely new type of gel-emulsion based mixture. For the first time it was used on the fields of “Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz” and is the alternative to hydrocarbon based muds.

The achieved results on Karamovskoe oil field in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District confirm that MULTIBUR has perspective future.
