Introductory tour for foreign Ufa State Petroleum Technological University students

“Petroleum Engineering” is the only bachelor's program in Russia to train specialists in a wide range of professional activities including production (drilling and field development) and transportation (collection, preparation, transportation and storage) of oil and gas. The program is implemented entirely in English, which greatly increases the competitive advantages of graduates and allows for professional training of foreign students who do not speak Russian.

As part of familiarization activities with industrial enterprises of the oil and gas industry, the bachelors of the Faculty of Pipeline Transport of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University had a tour of the production workshops of the enterprise.

12 students from Egypt and Senegal, headed by teachers of the Pipeline systems department Ogunsola Odegboyega Temitayo and Evan Ehoa Blaise Gaetan, visited the tri-cone production “BURINTEKH”, Ltd. The students were able to get acquainted with the full cycle of creating tri-cone bits accompanied by a design engineer of the tri-cone bits department of the Development Center.

At the end of the tour Ogunsola Odegboyega Temitayo shared his impressions: “I would like to thank the company for the opportunity to see the production of drilling tools live. There are things that we explain to them in theory and in class, but for the most part they have not seen a real drilling tool and, one might say, have never been to an industrial enterprise for its manufacture. Visually, for our students it is very interesting and educational, it is a very positive experience for them.”
