“BURINTEKH”, Ltd has developed and successfully tested a new mud system “Hydrogel”

“BURINTEKH”, Ltd has developed and successfully tested a new mud system “Hydrogel”. Water based mud is unique in that it does not contain xanthan gum and all components of domestic production.

Successful pilot tests were carried out at the facility of “Gazpromneft-Khantos” LLC, well 43730GS of the Yuzhno-Priobskoye field, in the horizontal drilling interval of 3330-4130 meters. The 800 m horizontal section was drilled for the first time with water based mud without the use of xanthan gum.
